Fees & Offers

NHS

There are three standard charges for all NHS dental treatments.

Band 1 – This covers an examination, diagnosis (e.g. x-rays), simple scale if needed, and advice on how to prevent future problems.

Urgent treatment when you need to see a dentist immediately is also a Band 1 charge. The charge for this level of treatment is £26.80

Band 2 – This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to extract one or more of your teeth.

The charge for this level of treatment is £73.50

Band 3 – This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures or bridges.

The charge for this level of treatment is £319.10

All charges apply to an overall course of treatment, and not the individual items within the course of treatment. You will only pay one

charge for each course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it.

Some patients will be exempt from NHS dental charges eg:-  pregnant women, people in receipt of certain benefits or patients under 18 years of age.

Please ask our reception team for more information on the NHS banding charges or visit NHS Choices for more information.
